Switching power supply insulation types are divided into the following three:
(1) basic insulation: to provide basic protection against electric shock insulation.
(2) Double insulation: Insulation consisting of basic insulation plus additional insulation.
(3) reinforced insulation: a single insulation structure, which provides the level of protection against electric shock equivalent to double insulation.
Creepage distance refers to the shortest distance between two conductive parts or between the conductive component and the boundary surface of the device, measured along the insulator surface. The creepage distance between all primary circuits in the switching power supply to all secondary circuits is typically 5-6 mm.
